Ugandan MP David Bahati is this week's Cunt of the Week.
Bearing in mind that Bashar al-Assad is in the running for some kind of Cunt of a Lifetime award, we turn our attention to Uganda where Bahati this week revived an anti-gay bill which was shelved last year after international condemnation. He has gracefully made the concession of removing the "provision for the death penalty for some homosexual acts". This is good coming from a man who is reported to have expressed a desire to "kill every last gay person".
The reintroduction of the bill will hopefully reignite the debate about western countries withholding aid from countries that pursue hateful agendas towards homosexuals. Last December, Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni made Cunt of the Day for rejecting western ideas of linking aid money to gay rights. Uganda gets over a billion dollars a year in aid which is a high price to pay to opress an innocent part of the population.
Bahati believes homosexuality has been imported from the west. Some wise people have pointed out that the bullshit fundamental Christianity he backs up his intolerance with is also a product of the west. This also raises the question of the kind of support Bahati's reprehensible views gets from the US. This article from the New York Times from 2010 about US evangelical Christians stoking hatred of gays is worth a read.
Also worthy of some research is a secretive Christian organization called "The Fellowship" (also known as "The Family) which not only reaches its tentacles into US politics, it attempts to sway policy around the world. And guess what? Bahati is closely associated with this sinister group.
Whether Bahati is a pawn of western Christian evangelical homophobes, or if he thought up his hateful agenda all by himself, there are no two ways about it - the man is a first rate fucking cunt.

Also, fuck the family/fascist values group "one million moms," who have been hell-bent the last two weeks on trying to get Ellen DeGeneres fired from her new job as JC Penney spokesman, because she's a lesbian. Even ultraconservati ve pundit Bill O'Reilly has come out on Ellen's side accusing the group of McCarthyism. You can read the full scoop here, straight from the horse's mouth:
