MAC Cosmetics company is today's Cunt of the Day.

A new range of cosmetics, in collaboration with fashion brand Rodarte, has brought MAC not nearly enough negative attention. The product line is apparently inspired by the Mexican factory town of Juarez. So far, so good you might think; however, Juarez is also known for what has being described as feminicidios or femicide - the rape, torture and mutilation of a distressing number of young women.

In Juarez, many of the 400 women who have been murdered since 1993 worked in factories, so naming one nail polish "Factory" and another "Juarez" shows a remarkable lack of sensitivity, and a disrespect to the families of the victims, as well as 70 women who remain unaccounted for.

They can release all the public apologies they like, but for appearing to somehow try and cash in on the misery of poor, working Mexican women, MAC Cosmetics is Cunt of the Day.

Here is an excellent blog piece on the subject, and here is an Amnesty International page and a Wikipedia page about the  female homicides in Ciudad Juarez.

Sponsored by people who are pleased to hear that siblings Irene and Peter Singleton have been jailed for life for murdering a kebab shop owner. Apparently, these sick cunts think a good end to a night on the booze is to savagely stomp someone to death.
