Bishops of Chile are today's Cunts of the Day.

A few days ago, the Chilean Bishops' Conference urged the President of Chile, Sebastian Pinera, to pardon members of the armed forces who had committed human rights abuses during Chile's military rule.

Today, Pinera has refused their request, saying, quite reasonably, that there will be no pardons for offences such as murder and crimes against humanity.

Now, why is this a big deal? Well, the bishops are, of course, Catholic, and you might think they would be sticking to what they know best: abusing children and covering it up. However, they've found time to stick their fucking beak into the politics of Chile's past and asked for clemency for those behind the murder and disappearance of 3,000 people.

Un-fucking-believable.

Fuck off back to your churches. Think long and hard about the notion of the separation of church and state, and how the decisions of the courts are fuck all to do with the Catholic church unless they are sending pedophile priests to jail.
